Schedule (3 hours)

1 hour of theory in the foyer (before the Donauturm officially opens): In a calm atmosphere, you will receive a well-founded introduction to the topic of fear of heights:

• Psychoeducation: How does fear of heights develop? What keeps it going?
• Explanation of the exposure principle to reduce fear of heights
• Learning and practicing physical regulation strategies (e.g. breathing, relaxation)
• Developing helpful, realistic thoughts for exposure situations
• Preparation for the practical exercise phase

2 hours of guided exercises at real height at Danube Tower Vienna

• Exercises in pairs
• Four progressively challenging levels of difficulty
• Reflection break after approximately one hour
• Psychologists are available throughout the entire exposure phase
• Handout including psychological background information, an individual training plan, and tips for continuing the exposure exercises independently

Please note: This workshop is an independent training course in a group setting and does not replace clinical psychological treatment or psychotherapy.
